It features a microscope with a 4.3-inch LCD, a 2 mW visual fault locator (VFL), and optical power measurement capabilities.

BarnDr. / FIBER - QC FLEX combines every essential tool for live event fiber testing into a single 2RU rack unit. Technicians plug their fiber cables directly into the appropriate port — for inspection (microscope), tracing (VFL), or measurement (optical power meter) — getting everything they need instantly.
This accessibility drastically cuts down on troubleshooting time and, more importantly, reinforces best practices by making it easy to inspect and clean fiber before connecting. By preventing infrastructure contamination, the BarnDr. /FIBER - QC FLEX delivers substantial maintenance cost savings over the long run.

• Comes with both 2.5mm and 1.25mm mating adaptors to accommodate ST, SC, FC and LC fiber connectors
• Large, easy to use focus ring to quickly sharpen the image
• High quality 4.3” LCD touch screen display for easy viewing
• Users can lock the X/Y position into a fixed setting using set screws, or they may use the included thumb screws for quick, easy adjustments -
• Green lights show good power levels, yellow lights for low but measurable signal, and red for very low power levels
• The meter readout is also shown on a high-vis OLED screen showing precision power levels in several units. Absolute units shown as decibels with reference to one milliwatt(dBm) and actual milliwatts(mW)
• Hold the button to zero the meter to a reference level
• Connect to the power meter with a known good patch cable, then zero out the power meter. Now you can test any cable between the two LC connectors on the BarnDr. and take reliable measurements of the cable’s condition -
• Extremely simple use, just press the button to turn on the laser. Extremely handy to ID fiber lines or to cause breaks and tight bends visible in patch cables to glow
• At 2mW, the laser is powerful enough to get light to anywhere in your venue, but still safe and legal to use -
